Dairy & other food
Dairy & other food packaging lines designed for hygiene, flexibility and predictable output
For dairy and food brands, growth typically means more formats, more SKUs, and tighter expectations around hygiene and repeatability. The line has to stay workable in real production – across shifts, changeovers and daily routines.
Kafeko Nordic supports dairy packaging line projects and wider food line projects across the Nordics and Baltics – bringing together OEM partner technologies and local continuity from commissioning to long-life operation.
Common line scopes for dairy and food brands
Dairy cups and multi-cups: clean fill or aseptic filling
In dairy packaging machine projects, hygiene level drives the choice between clean fill and aseptic filling. Kafeko supports cup filling solutions for prefabricated cups (and bottles where relevant), plus aseptic form, fill and seal for cups.
Pouches, bottles and liquid food products (beyond dairy)
For liquid products in bottles, projects can include bottle filling lines and filling + sealing solutions for food applications such as sauces (e.g., mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard). Where relevant, the filling machines can be equipped with CIP and SIP, and bottle handling such as unscrambling (Packfeeder) can be integrated as part of the line.
Other food formats: primary packaging + secondary packaging
For other food products and formats, line projects may include:
- Vertical bag machines (VFFS / vertical form fill seal) for bag-based products
- Horizontal pouch bag lines where applicable
- Secondary packaging such as cartoning/sleeving and case packing for shelf-ready and transport packaging
- Line modules like labeling and robotic handling as part of the overall flow

Kafeko’s role: line ownership from scope to go-live
In dairy and food line projects, the biggest risks usually sit in the interfaces: between machines, between suppliers, and between commissioning and daily production. Kafeko supports projects from standalone equipment to complete packaging lines, with overall responsibility available through one supplier.
What this means in practice
- A line scope coordinated as one: from primary pack through secondary packaging and end-of-line packaging
- Integration planning so the line works as a complete system
- Where applicable, the line can be validated before delivery (FAT) as part of project execution
- Line scope that can extend from process to palletizing – including the palletizing flow / palletiser end of the line

Case example: coming soon!
Go-live outcomes to plan for
These are the operational outcomes we typically plan for when commissioning dairy and food packaging lines:
- Hygienic filling set-up aligned to your product requirements
- Repeatable routines for start-up, running and changeovers
- Stable line performance after go-live – especially across primary pack, secondary packaging, and end-of-line
- A predictable end-of-line packaging and palletizing rhythm that supports logistics
- Packaging changes that support sustainability targets – for example, new materials or lighter packs – implemented without losing hygiene requirements or line stability
- Local continuity: service and spare parts support for equipment delivered by Kafeko in the Nordics & Baltics
Plan your next dairy or food line step
If you’re planning a new filling set-up, an upgrade, or a complete packaging line project, share:
- product type and format (cups, multi-cups, bottles, pouches, bags, etc.)
- hygiene requirement (clean fill vs aseptic filling)
- target output and constraints (changeovers, footprint, end-of-line and palletizing needs)
…and we’ll propose a practical solution path and next steps.

FAQ
Do you support dairy packaging machine projects, including cup filling and pouch filling machines?
Filling projects for prefabricated cups (and bottles where relevant) and pouches are supported in clean fill or aseptic versions. For aseptic applications, cup fill & seal solutions are also available.
Do you support packaging lines and packaging line integration for dairy and other food, including secondary packaging?
Projects range from standalone machines to complete packaging lines. Scope can include secondary packaging (cartoning/sleeving, case packing) and packaging line integration from primary packaging to end-of-line, with overall responsibility available through one supplier.
Can you support VFFS / vertical form fill seal scope and end-of-line packaging (including palletizing flow)?
Depending on product and format, line scope can include VFFS / vertical form fill seal (vertical bag machines) and end-of-line packaging, including palletizing / palletiser flow as part of the overall packaging line project.
Do you provide service and spare parts locally in the Nordics and Baltics?
Service, assembly and spare parts are available for machines and equipment delivered by Kafeko, with local continuity across the Nordics and Baltics.
